Kalanaka Project

Located in Bueng Khong Long District, Bueng Kan Province, this project is a spiritual tourism site rooted in the belief in the ancient sacred water. When sacred water was needed for royal ceremonies, such as the Coronation Water and Phatthasataya Water, the city rulers would conduct rituals to obtain water from the two sacred sources in Bueng Kan Province, both of which are located in the Bueng Khong Long Wetland. The project’s land is adjacent to Bueng Khong Long Lake, offering a unique and beautiful landscape view. The design of the Kalanaka @ Bueng Kan project aims to establish a landmark by integrating aesthetic elements from all branches of art into every part of the project. The concept, faith, and belief in the Naga (a mythical serpent) are central to the design. Local materials and natural elements have been blended into the project’s design, with a layout that connects the interior and exterior spaces. The design features a stylized Naga shape, interconnecting vertically and horizontally. Some parts of the project have been co-created with the local community. The area includes a museum, an art gallery, and meeting rooms in Building 1, while Building 2 houses a hotel. This project is expected to benefit the local community and the province in the future.
